Zero waste technologies created in the course of scientific activities conducted by the team led by prof. Sławomir Borysiak gained recognition and were awarded during the third edition of the International Fairs of Inventions and Innovations E-NNOVATE.
The fair took place on 8th-10th 2022 at the Bydgoszcz University of Technology. The team of prof. Sławomir Borysiak the head of the Polymer Department at the Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology, with the support of the university’s Technology Transfer Center, successfully presented solutions submitted in the Zero Waste Technologies category: Advanced comprehensive technological lines for the processing of waste Tetra Pak® packaging https://www. e-nnovate.eu/virtual-booth.php?id=100 and the use of renewable raw materials for the production of innovative composite materials https://www.e-nnovate.eu/virtual-booth.php?id=101
The presented solutions were appreciated by the jurors, receiving respectively a gold medal and a special award of the Croatian Inventors Network and a silver medal.
62 exhibitors from 7 countries, presenting a total of 116 innovations, participated in the event at the Novum Auditorium of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology. The E-NNOVATE fair is a promotional platform for Polish innovators that facilitates the establishment of national and international cooperation with business organizations and potential recipients of technology.
During the fair, representatives of the creators and the Technology Transfer Center met with representatives of the P.U.H.P Lech company from Białystok - the licensee of the Tetra Pak® packaging processing technology. The talks concerned the continuation of cooperation with the Poznan University of Technology in the field of manufacturing a composite board from shredded waste tetrapacks and plastics.
